Alison Doody

Alison Doody was born in Dublin in 1966. She was raised in the middle class family. The youngest of the children of three. At a convent, she developed a love for arts. Later, she attended the National College of Fine Arts in Dublin in Ireland, but quit because she was not motivated and thought she would have a break to consider the idea. As time passed, she was sitting with group of friends in a cafe, an older photographer approached her and asked whether she'd be interested to model. Because she thought she could earn some money through this, she jumped at the chance. Then, she started working professionally as a model. She was able to travel the world with her commercial business after securing modeling contracts. A casting director saw her work and recommended she try acting instead. She was sent to London aged 19 which was where she won an audition to be part of the brand new James Bond film, A View to a Kill (1985). It was her dream to act so she chose to go after a career as an actor. She shot TV dramas, both in London as well as Dublin following her debut feature. However, her most memorable break came when she got a role for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as the Aryan seductress Dr. Elsa Schneider. Alison Alison Alison
